Ammonium Sulphate

Ammonium Sulphate (AS) is an inorganic salt which is commonly use as soil fertilizer for alkaline soils to lower pH balance of soil, while contributing essential nitrogen for plant growth. This material is a by-product of the facility ammonia scrubbers, which remove levels of airborne ammonia from the compost tunnel air exhaust stream. This ammonium sulphate has fertilizer properties and Orgaworld London has registered this product with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) as a fertilizer. In 2016 the London facility produced 1,986 tonnes of ammonium sulphate.
