Skills and experience: Michael, General Manager for Renewi Canada since June 2017, leads the Canadian teams and drives performance at three operational organic waste processing facilities in Ottawa, London, Ontario and Surrey, British Columbia . Michael joins Renewi from Honeywell Canada, where he was District General Manager and achieved impressive sales growth in a challenging environment. He has also spent time in various senior management roles in leading global organizations, such as Lafarge and Siemens, building teams and facilitating change in order to optimize results.
Skills and experience: Jamie, Financial Controller for Renewi Canada since August 2017, is a Chartered Accountant and graduate of the Richard Ivey School of Business at UWO. Jamie oversees the finance department as well as works closely with the operations team in all aspects of the business from compliance to commercial bidding. Jamie earned his designation with Ernst & Young and has since spent his time working for large multinationals like Renewi and has helped to stabilize the business since his arrival this past year.
Skills and experience: With over 25 years‘ experience in managing air, water, waste and industrial safety compliance concerns in mid to large-size manufacturing facilities in Canada and the United States, David is Renewi Canada’s Environmental Compliance Officer. Responsible for providing oversight of and technical guidance on, all regulatory and corporate environmental, health & safety compliance matters within the three locations of Renewi Canada Ltd.
Skills and Experience: Kimberley joined Renewi Canada in 2015. She has a wide range of Project Management experience, particularly in the public sector. Prior to joining Renewi Canada, she was with Bouygues Construction, where she completed multiple public service projects including projects for the RCMP, hospitals and schools. She has completed multiple P3 projects and has a keen understanding of client needs, operational requirements and long term contract commitments.
Ann-Marie Cooper, CHRP
Human Resources and Communications Advisor
Skills and Experience: Ann-Marie was appointed Human Resources and Communications Advisor in 2017. Prior to joining Renewi Canada, Ann-Marie worked at Hamilton Health Sciences, a group of seven unique hospitals located in Hamilton Ontario, where she collaborated with managers to provide appropriate staffing levels for inpatient units. She has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Western Ontario, and a Human Resources Management Certificate from Mohawk College. Ann-Marie's leadership, enthusiasm and dedication to teamwork has earned her a reputation as a leader in client relations.
Administration and Accounts Payable, Canada
Skills and Experience: Teresa has joined Renewi Canada in 2008 to provide administrative support to the London facility. She has since grown with our company and supports the Canadian business in administration and accounts payable ensuring efficient and smooth day-to-day operations.
Operations Manager, London
Skills and experience: Michael Rooke, currently serves as the Operations Manager for the Renewi Canada London Facility and has been with Renewi since April 2009. With over 25 years’ experience in the waste processing industry, Michael is responsible for all operational, health & safety, and regulatory issues that occur at the London facility. In previous roles at Renewi, Mike has served as the Operations Manager for the Ottawa facility and also as the Compliance Officer for RenewiCanada.
Operations Manager, Ottawa
Skills and Experience: Roy recently joined our team as Operations Manager, bringing with him 30 years' management experience working in a variety of Food and Pharmaceutical Plants including Abbott Laboratories, Apotex Pharmaceuticals, Trillium Healthcare and Sensient Flavors. Roy has a degree in Agriculture from the University of Guelph. He is responsible for all activities at the site including SHEQ, Operational and Financial performance, managing stakeholder relationships and leadership of site employees.
Business Development Manager
Skills and Experience: Kim has nearly 20 years’ experience in sales and purchasing along with several years in Operations Management. She supports the growth and profitability of the Canadian business through the development and maintenance of new and existing business relationships related to short and long term sales activity.
Operations Manager, Surrey
Skills and Experience: Ben brings over ten years of experience in managing industrial operations in regulated sectors. He has a track record of cultivating stakeholders, reducing costs and increasing operational efficiencies. Above all, he is committed to the health and safety of his operations.
